Casey Biggs
ActingCasey Patrick Biggs (born April 4, 1955) is an American actor best known for his role as the Cardassian Damar in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Biggs was a foster child in his early life and pursued acting while attending Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1973. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Juilliard in 1977 and studied acting at the Toledo Repertory Theatre. Biggs’ career includes over eighty film, television, and stage roles. Besides Deep Space Nine, where his character evolved from a minor player to a major figure leading the Cardassian Union, he appeared in other TV shows like Ryan’s Hope, General Hospital, The X-Files, and Person of Interest, as well as films like The Pelican Brief, Broken Arrow, and Dragonfly. In addition to acting, he has taught directing and acting at The New School for Drama. He was previously married to Roxann Dawson, who later also starred in Star Trek as B’Elanna Torres. Casey Biggs remains active in both acting and teaching.
