Georgi Partsalev
ActingGeorgi Ivanov Partsalev is Bulgarian theater and cinema actor, best known for his roles in comedy movies. He was an important figure of the Golden age of Bulgarian Cinema (i.e. 1970s and 1980s). He began his career in the middle of the 1950s and made his feature length debut in 1958. He was born in Levski, Bulgaria on June 16, 1925. He graduated from high school in Pleven and then studied medicine at the University of Sofia . In 1956, he started to work in the Satire Theatre , and in 1958 came his first role in cinema - in movie " Lyubimetz 13 ", directed by Vladimir Yanchev. Partsalev has participated in so-called "Pop-satirical" concerts; he has toured a country in the late 1950th and in the 1960th. He gradually has become a living legend of Bulgarian comedy with his memorable performance in " The Tied Balloon " (1967), "Whale", " Five from Moby Dick " (1970), " Family Vacation " ( 1972), " Indian Summer " (1973), " My father Was the Painter " (1974), " Farsighted for Two Diopters " (1976), " 13th fiancee of Prince " (1987). His greatest professional dream was to portray the character of Don Quixote. In theater he had played 40 roles. He was not married and has no children. He died in Sofia on October 31, 1989 from leukemia.
